From the viewpoint of a newly established simulation center, this article explores our experience in observing that students often lack foundational skills, such as fundoscopy, yet are proficient in more complex procedures like advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Our objective is to analyze the generational traits and the inclination to favor novel technology over mastering fundamental competencies, thereby failing to integrate the user's need for a comprehensive skill set that includes both basic and advanced abilities.
