¿Por qué debemos investigar en simulación clínica?

Resumen

La simulación clínica se ha consolidado como una herramienta fundamental en la formación de los profesionales de la salud (Cook et al., 2011; Issenberg et al., 2005; Motola et al., 2013). Su crecimiento ha sido sostenido y visible a nivel mundial, cada vez surgen más centros, tecnología, programas formativos y eventos. Sin embargo, es importante detenernos y preguntarnos: ¿por qué debemos investigar en simulación clínica? La respuesta parece obvia, pero exige una reflexión que va más allá de la retórica académica y que toca las bases mismas de nuestra legitimidad como campo de conocimiento de la simulación en ciencias de la salud.
